2021 Nissan Rogue child seat anchor welds may be improperly secured
Certain 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles have improperly welded upper tether attachment points in the rear seat. This defect prevents child safety seats from being properly anchored, increasing injury risk during crashes.

Nissan North America is recalling certain 2021 Nissan Rogue vehicles. The second-row upper tether wires may have been improperly welded to the seatback frame, which can prevent child safety seats from being securely anchored to the vehicle. This defect violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 225, which establishes requirements for child restraint anchorage systems.
An insecurely anchored child seat can move during a sudden stop or crash, increasing the risk of injury to a child occupant.
Approximately 47,098 vehicles are affected by this recall.
If you own a 2021 Nissan Rogue, contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669 to schedule service. Nissan dealers will inspect and replace the rear seatbacks as necessary at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 30, 2021.
