Emergency jack fracture risk affects Chevrolet Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX

If the jack fractures during use, the vehicle can collapse, increasing the risk of injury. Owners will receive an interim notification letter beginning July 26, 2021, explaining the safety risk. A second notification will be sent once replacement parts are available.

Dealers will replace the emergency jack free of charge. Owners should contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Buick customer service at 1-800-521-7300 to schedule service.
