General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2024 Chevrolet Equinox vehicles, as well as 2024 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, and GMC Terrain models. The door strikers on these vehicles may fracture, which can result in doors opening unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven.

A door opening while driving can increase the risk of injury or a crash. According to GM's recall documentation, dealers will replace all four door strikers and attaching bolts free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 24, 2024.
