The affected models include Peterbilt 330, 335, 337, 340, 348, 365, 367, 384, 386, 387, 388, 389, 567, 579, and 587, as well as Kenworth T170, T270, T370, T660, T680, T800, T880, and W900.

The defect involves the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) controller. If the ABS loses battery and/or ignition power, the dashboard warning light may not illuminate to alert the driver. This failure means the vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 121 and 136. If a driver operates the vehicle without knowing the ABS is not functioning, there is an increased risk of a crash.

PACCAR will notify owners, and dealers will update the NAMUX software within the cab control module at no charge. The recall began on May 26, 2020, and an interim notification was issued on June 4, 2020.
