The defect involves a reflective decal on the stop arm that may peel loose. Without this decal, the stop arms have reduced visibility to other drivers, which increases the risk of a crash. This condition causes the stop arms to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 131, "School Bus Pedestrian Safety Devices."

Transportation Collaborative will notify owners, and dealers will replace the stop arm blade assembly free of charge. The recall began on January 27, 2016.
