Haier America is recalling certain 55-inch LED televisions, model number 55E3500, manufactured between September 1, 2015, and October 27, 2015. These televisions were installed in fifth-wheel recreational vehicles. The recall affects 379 units.
The affected televisions have bottom brackets for mounting to wall mounts. These brackets may separate from the wall mounts when installed in recreational vehicles, causing the televisions to fall. A falling television increases the risk of injury to people in the vehicle.
Haier notified the recreational vehicle manufacturer on February 8, 2016, and will work with them to remove the affected televisions from the vehicles free of charge.
