The recall involves 1,006 units. As built, these trailers have tires that are more than 12 inches forward of the rear of the trailer. This configuration causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 224, "Rear Impact Protection."

The defect increases the risk of injury to occupants of a vehicle that collides with the rear of the trailer. Strick will notify owners and replace the fixed torque arm with an adjustable torque arm, allowing for the rearward adjustment of the axle, free of charge. The recall began on September 29, 2015.
