Strick Trailers, LLC is recalling certain model year 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2008-2012 Single Axle Van Trailers. The recall involves trailers equipped with rear impact guards using gussets 50185 and 50186. These specific gussets increase the chances of injury in the event of a crash, causing the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 223, "Rear Impact Guards."

If the rear impact guards do not meet safety standards, the risk of injury during a crash is increased. Strick will notify owners, and service centers will install reinforcements free of charge. The recall began on April 15, 2016.
