Plain-English summary

Starcraft RV, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2014 Launch 17FB and 17SB travel trailers manufactured between May 5, 2013, and December 9, 2013. These vehicles were equipped with the extreme package option and have incorrect tire size information printed on their federal labels. The labels state the tire size as 14C, but the correct size is 15C. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119.

Installing a tire of the incorrect size could result in excessive tire wear and may cause instability while towing the travel trailer, which could increase the risk of a crash. The recall affects 8 vehicles.

Starcraft will notify owners and provide a corrected label free of charge. The recall began on February 26, 2014. Owners may contact Starcraft RV at 1-800-945-4787 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
