CM and S&H Trailers Recalled for Door Lock Jamming Hazard

Contract Manufacturer, LLC (CM) is recalling certain model year 2006-2012 CM and S&H trailers equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. The recall covers 444 units across various models, including the Revolution, Legacy, Nomad, and Phoenix series.
The defect involves the possibility of removing the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt. If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. This could leave a person inside the trailer locked in and unable to exit, increasing the risk of injury.
The recall began on January 21, 2014. CM will notify owners, and Fastec will coordinate the inspection and replacement of the cylinders, as needed, free of charge.
