Chrysler Group LLC is recalling certain model year 2013 Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan, and RAM C/V Tradesman vehicles. The recall covers vehicles manufactured between May 10, 2012, and June 7, 2013. A total of 224,264 vehicles are affected by this campaign.

The recall is due to a software error in the occupant restraint control module. This error may result in the airbags on the opposite side of the vehicle deploying from the point of collision. For example, a left-side impact could deploy the right-side airbags, and vice versa.

In the event of a crash, the deployment of the wrong side airbags could leave the occupant without airbag protection at the point of impact, increasing the risk of injury. Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will flash the occupant restraint control module free of charge. The recall began in September 2013.
