The hazard involves the knit cord unraveling into a long, thin cord that can become entangled around a child's body or neck. Playskool has received ten reports of this specific entanglement issue. A total of 453,000 units made in Korea have the type of cord with this potential risk.

Consumers should identify their toy by checking the sewn-in label for "Made in Korea." If the label indicates Korean origin, consumers are asked to cut the knit cord at the point where it joins the elephant and where it joins the mouse. The cut cord should be returned to Playskool immediately to receive a free gift. The toy was sold nationally for approximately $19.00.
