Creekliybear "Pack and Play" aftermarket play yard mattresses are being recalled because they exceed thickness requirements and may not fit certain play yards. About 21,500 units affected.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: Risk-of-harm product: an infant sleep surface failing the mandatory standard with an entrapment and suffocation hazard, and no injuries reported in the source.

Plain-English summary

Creekliybear "Pack and Play" Aftermarket Play Yard Mattresses are being recalled. The mattresses are white with grey striping, carry labels reading "Play Mat" and "Model: m-sy2", and measure about 26 inches wide by 38 inches long. About 21,500 units are affected.

The stated hazard is that the aftermarket play yard mattresses violate the mandatory standard for crib mattresses because they exceed thickness requirements and may not adequately fit certain play yards, posing an entrapment hazard. Babies can suffocate in gaps between an undersized mattress, or extra padding, and the side walls of a product, especially when the infant's face becomes trapped against the side and the mattress. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

The mattresses were sold online on Amazon from December 2024 to June 2025 for between $28 and $40.

Consumers should immediately stop using the mattresses and contact Kbabyea for a full refund, which requires cutting the mattress in half and sending a photo of it in the waste bin.
