Plain-English summary
RH US, LLC is recalling approximately 2,900 Callum Canopy Beds sold in the United States and about 135 in Canada. The recall is due to a hazard where the bed's horizontal canopy rails can detach and fall unexpectedly. The wooden beds were sold in twin, full, and queen sizes in washed black, sandwashed grey, and weathered white colors, with or without headboards and storage drawers. They were manufactured in Vietnam and sold at RH Baby & Child, RH Teen stores, warehouse sales, and online from April 2014 through February 2019 for between $415 and $2,400.
RH has received 29 reports of the rails detaching and falling, but no injuries have been reported. The affected beds have a green label on the bottom inside frame printed with "Restoration Hardware" and "Made in Vietnam." Specific SKU numbers are listed on product receipts, which differ from the SKU numbers on the product label.
Consumers should stop using the recalled beds immediately until the canopy has been removed. They should contact RH to schedule a free in-home inspection and repair. The company is notifying all known purchasers directly.
