Each campaign is identified by an NHTSA Campaign Number (a string like 25V123000) and lists every make / model / year combination affected. The most common vehicle-recall categories are airbag and seatbelt failures (the consequence is non-deployment in a crash), fuel system defects with fire risk, steering or brake malfunctions, electrical defects in EVs that can cause battery thermal events, software bugs in driver-assist systems, and child-seat harness failures. Recalls for tires almost always relate to a tread-separation risk in a defined production date range.
Every NHTSA recall is mandatory for the manufacturer to remedy at no charge to the owner, with no expiration. If your vehicle has an open recall, your dealer is required to perform the remedy free of charge as long as the vehicle exists. Bentley is recalling certain 2021-2022 vehicles because the owner's manual incorrectly states the airbag will not deploy when the Passenger Airbag On symbol is illuminated. This could cause unsafe positioning during a crash.
Hisun Motors is recalling about 2,500 Sector 250cc and RK Performance 250cc utility vehicles sold at Rural King stores nationwide from November 2014 through June 2021 because grass can accumulate near the exhaust pipe and pose a fire hazard. The company has received five reports of vehicle fires but no injuries.
Shyft Group is recalling 2020-2023 Spartan K3 RV chassis vehicles because fuel tubes may fatigue and crack, creating a potential fuel leak and fire risk. Dealers will install vibration isolators or replace fuel tubes at no cost.
Autocar is recalling certain 2021-2022 Xpeditor vehicles because the GPS module may be improperly mounted and could come loose, potentially interfering with brake and throttle pedals.

Nissan is recalling approximately 24,793 2021 Rogue vehicles due to abnormal wear in the fuel pump that may cause overheating, failure, and engine stall, increasing crash risk.
Certain 2022 Nissan Frontier vehicles have seat belt bracket mounting bolts on the left-rear seat that may have been incorrectly tightened. In a crash, a loose bracket may break, causing loss of seat belt restraint and increased injury risk.
Autocar is recalling 2019-2022 Xpeditor and 2020-2022 Legend vehicles. Fuel tubes may crack, causing a high-pressure leak that could ignite in the presence of a fire source.
Certain 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L vehicles may have inoperable headlights due to a smart lighting module software defect. This reduces visibility and increases the risk of crashes.

Daimler Trucks North America is recalling 2017-2023 Freightliner Custom Chassis trucks due to damaged tire valve stem extensions that may lose pressure, increasing crash risk. Dealers will remove the valve stem extensions and stabilizers at no charge.
Chrysler is recalling 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles because the rear center-seat recliner strap may prevent the seat back from locking into the upright position. This defect increases crash injury risk and violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 207.
Chrysler is recalling 2021 RAM 1500 pickup trucks because the rearview camera display may stop working, violating federal rear-visibility standards. Dealers will provide a software update.
