Winnebago motorhomes recalled for defective turn signals
Winnebago Industries recalls multiple motorhome models because turn signals may have insufficient lens area, making them difficult for other drivers to see and increasing crash risk. Dealers will replace the turn signals at no cost.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: This recall involves a vehicle safety feature defect (turn signal visibility) that creates a risk of crashes according to the source, meeting the criterion for 'High' severity. However, no injuries, deaths, or hospitalizations are reported.
Plain-English summary
Winnebago Industries, Inc. is recalling multiple motorhome models, including the 2022 Forza and numerous other Winnebago and Itasca models from 2013 through 2022.
The turn signals on the affected vehicles may have a luminous lens area smaller than required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) Number 108. This deficiency can make the turn signals difficult for other drivers to see, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the turn signals free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 17, 2026. Owners can contact Winnebago Customer Care at 1-800-537-1885 for assistance, or call the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153) for additional information.
