Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2025 and 2026 Lexus LX600 vehicles. The vehicles contain an automatic transmission that may experience solenoid failure, which can prevent proper communication between the transmission electronic control unit (ECU) and the engine ECU.
A damaged transmission resulting from this communication failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a damaged transmission may leak transmission fluid, increasing the risk of a fire.
Dealers will update the transmission ECU software free of charge to address this issue. Owner notification letters were mailed on April 13, 2026. Owners should contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331 for service appointments. Toyota's internal recall number is 26LA01.
