Daimler Coaches is recalling 2022-2025 Mercedes-Benz Tourrider buses because a missing driver's seat bracket may allow the backrest to fold forward in a crash.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a structural vehicle defect where a missing component increases the risk of injury during a crash, but no injuries or fatalities have been reported.

Plain-English summary

Daimler Coaches North America is recalling certain 2022-2025 Mercedes-Benz Tourrider Business and Premium transit buses. The recall involves 162 vehicles where the fixate stop bracket on the driver's seat backrest may not be installed. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards 207 and 210 regarding seating systems and seat belt anchorages.

Without the fixate stop bracket, the driver's seat backrest may fold forward during a crash, which increases the risk of injury. Daimler Coaches will inspect the driver's seat and install the fixate stop as necessary, free of charge.
