Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Thomas Built Buses Minotour DRW school buses. The recall addresses a defect where occupant seats may have been installed without the intended reinforcement brackets underneath the seat rail.
Without these reinforcement brackets, the seats may come loose in the event of a crash, which increases the risk of injury to occupants. DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the seats and install reinforcement brackets as necessary at no charge. An interim notice was mailed to owners on July 5, 2017, and the recall began on August 11, 2017.
