Toyota Corolla Hybrid skid control software may lose power brake assist
Toyota is recalling certain Corolla Hybrid and Corolla Cross Hybrid vehicles because a skid control ECU software error may result in a loss of power brake assist when cornering.

A software error in the skid control electronic control unit may result in a loss of power brake assist when turning a corner. According to NHTSA, a loss of power brake assist can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will update the skid control ECU software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2024, with further notifications to Corolla Hybrid owners mailed in January.
