2023-2024 Cadillac LYRIQ recalled for brake control defect

General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2023-2024 Cadillac LYRIQ all-wheel drive vehicles due to a defect in the electronic brake control module software. The anti-lock brake system (ABS) may activate unexpectedly and release brake pressure in the service brake system.
A release of brake pressure can cause loss of braking ability, increasing the risk of a crash.
The defect will be corrected with a free software update to the electronic brake control module through an over-the-air (OTA) update or at a Cadillac dealership. Owner notification letters were mailed on September 3, 2024. Owners should contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006 or EV Concierge at 1-844-382-2345 to schedule the remedy.
