GM is recalling 2023-2025 Cadillac LYRIQ vehicles because stabilizer bar bracket bolts may have been improperly tightened, potentially causing loss of drive power and increased crash risk.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: This suspension bracket defect is a structural safety issue with the potential to cause loss of drive power and increased crash risk. However, no deaths, injuries, or crash incidents have been reported in relation to this defect.

Plain-English summary

General Motors is recalling 2023-2025 Cadillac LYRIQ vehicles due to a suspension defect. The left or right front stabilizer bar bracket bolts may have been improperly tightened, which can allow them to loosen and separate from the vehicle frame.

When the stabilizer bar or bracket separates, it can damage the vehicle's high voltage electrical cables or EV battery coolant lines. Damaged cables or coolant lines can cause the vehicle to shut down, resulting in loss of drive power.

Loss of drive power significantly increases the risk of a vehicle crash. Approximately 17 vehicles are affected by this recall.

Owners should contact their Cadillac dealer to have the bolts inspected and tightened at no charge. Owners can contact Cadillac customer service at 1-800-333-4223 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 for more information.
