Mercedes EQ battery software can shut down causing sudden power loss
Mercedes-Benz is recalling certain 2023-2025 EQE and EQS models because battery management software may shut down the high-voltage battery, causing a sudden loss of drive power.
What this means for you
Illness, injury, or structural failure has been reported. Stop using the product immediately and contact the manufacturer for a refund or repair.
Our severity reasoning: Rubric level 4 covers structural vehicle defects: the fault can shut down the high-voltage battery and cause a sudden total loss of drive power, not merely a degraded function.
