2022-2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB vehicles recalled for high-voltage battery fire hazard

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2022 and 2023 EQB vehicles, including the EQB 250, EQB 300 4MATIC, and EQB 350 4MATIC models. The high-voltage traction battery in these vehicles may fail internally, potentially causing a vehicle fire while the vehicle is parked or being driven.
Approximately 169 vehicles are affected by this recall. The defect poses a risk of injury to vehicle occupants and others nearby.
Owners should limit charging to a maximum of 80% battery capacity until the repair is completed. Dealers will update the battery management system software at no cost to owners. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 6, 2026. Owners can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372 to schedule service.
Vehicles previously repaired under Recall 25V050 will require this repair again. Vehicle Identification Numbers involved in this recall can be searched on NHTSA.gov as of December 23, 2025.
