Turtle Top is recalling certain 2024 Van Terra, Terra Transit, Odyssey, and Odyssey XL vehicles equipped with specific GO-ES Space Saver Foldaway Seats. The defect involves the recliner mechanism, which may fail to engage when the seat back is fully reclined. As a result, these vehicles do not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."
If the seat back releases when force is applied to the shoulder belt, it increases the risk of injury during a crash. Turtle Top will work with the equipment manufacturer, Freedman, to inspect and repair the seats as necessary at no cost to the owner.
