Motorhome Seat Pedestal Weld Defect Causes Unsafe Seat Separation Risk

Jayco is recalling certain 2020-2023 Entegra motorhomes because passenger seats may have improperly welded pedestals that can separate and cause the seat to loosen or detach.

Jayco, Inc. is recalling certain 2020-2023 Entegra Anthem, Aspire, Cornerstone, and Reatta XL motorhomes because the passenger seat's pedestal mounting plate may be improperly welded.

The defect can cause the mounting plate to separate, resulting in the seat assembly loosening or detaching from the vehicle. This increases the risk of injury. The affected seat assemblies fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 207 and 210, which govern seating systems and seat belt anchorages.

Approximately 148 motorhomes across multiple model years are affected by this recall.

Owners should contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267. Dealers will inspect the seat pedestal for defective welds and replace it as necessary at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on March 11, 2024.
