This defect causes the warning light on the instrument panel display to illuminate even when the taillights are functioning correctly. As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 101 regarding control and displays. The incorrect warning light may fail to alert the driver to critical safety information or cause confusion, increasing the risk of a crash.
Dealers will replace the taillight harness free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 30, 2026. Owners may contact Jayco customer service at 1-800-283-8267 and reference recall number 9903667.
