The recall affects approximately 6,422 I-PACE vehicles. Owner notification letters were mailed on July 18, 2023.

To remedy the issue, dealers will update the battery energy control module software and replace battery modules as necessary. Repairs will be performed free of charge. In the meantime, owners are advised to park and charge their vehicles outside and away from structures. Software updates may be performed over-the-air.
