What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall addresses a structural vehicle defect in the passenger air bag system that could fail to provide adequate crash protection and risk burn injury. However, the source does not report any actual injuries or deaths, making this a potential risk-of-harm situation.
Plain-English summary
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC is recalling certain 2021–2024 Jaguar E-Pace vehicles with a defective passenger-side frontal air bag cushion module. The affected model years (2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024) may have air bag modules that tear during deployment.
A torn air bag may fail to adequately protect an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, the tear may allow hot gases to escape from the air bag, potentially causing burn injuries. The recall affects 1,436 vehicles.
Owners of affected vehicles should contact Jaguar's customer service at 1-800-452-4827 to arrange a remedy. Dealers will replace the passenger air bag module at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 6, 2026. Jaguar's internal recall number is H552.
