The cameras were sold at Home Depot, Micro Center, Best Buy, Amazon, Temu, B2B Renew Inc., ReturnPro, and online at wyze.com for about $80. The recalled cameras' incorrect assembly instructions can lead consumers to accidentally use the wrong fasteners when attaching the solar panel, which can puncture the lithium-ion battery's metal casing and cause the battery to rapidly overheat.

Wyze Labs has received 13 consumer reports of the cameras overheating, with six reports of cameras exploding and catching on fire. Six consumers have suffered minor burns.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled camera and visit http://www.wyze.com/SCPrecall to determine if their device is affected. The company is offering a free replacement camera with solar panel, a full refund, or a gift card for the original purchase price. Consumers must attest to disposal of the recalled camera.
