The missing retaining ring can cause the half-shaft inner joint to separate. This separation can result in loss of drive power, making the vehicle unable to move. Alternatively, it can cause the vehicle to roll away when parked, either of which increases the risk of a crash.

This recall affects an estimated 10 vehicles of the 2023 model year. Owner notification letters were mailed on February 23, 2023.

Owners should contact a Chevrolet dealer to have the left-side half-shaft assembly replaced at no charge. Dealerships have been authorized to perform this repair. Owners may also contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236.
