The front lower trailing arms were not forged correctly during manufacturing, creating a potential failure point.
If a front lower trailing arm breaks, it may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. No injuries or crashes have been reported to date.
Approximately 565 vehicles are affected. Owners should contact their Porsche dealer to schedule the free replacement of the front lower trailing arms. Owners may also call Porsche customer service at 1-800-767-7243 or visit www.safercar.gov for more information.
