Mercedes-Benz Recalls 2020 GLE and GLS Models for Rear Crossmember Welding Defect
Mercedes-Benz is recalling 2020 GLE 350, GLE 450, and GLS 450 vehicles because insufficient welding on the rear crossmember may cause it to detach while towing.

If the rear crossmember detaches, it can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. The recall began on July 17, 2020. Owners will be notified by MBUSA, and dealers will replace the rear crossmember free of charge.
