Prime-Time Specialty Vehicles is recalling certain 2016-2018 Ram ProMaster and Ford Transit vehicles that were modified to include Freedman GO-ES Foldaway Seats. The recall involves 90 affected vehicles.
The defect occurs when the seat back cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position. In this configuration, the seat cushion may fail to remain locked into place when subjected to load, such as during a crash or a sudden stop. If the seat back moves during a crash, the occupant has an increased risk of injury.
The recall began on November 16, 2018. Prime-Time Specialty Vehicles has notified owners, and Freedman dealers have inspected and repaired the foldaway seats at no cost to the owner.
