In the event of a crash, the frontal air bag may have a delayed deployment for certain unbelted front seat passengers. This defect causes the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection." A delay in air bag deployment can increase the risk of injury.
