Plain-English summary
Navistar, Inc. is recalling certain 2018 IC Bus CE transit buses equipped with 8.8L liquid propane gas (LPG) engines. The recall addresses a defect in the LPDM relay for the propane booster pump and the scavenge pump, which may intermittently fail.
If the LPDM relay fails, the fuel pump will stop, causing the bus to stall. This stalling increases the risk of a crash. The recall began on April 12, 2018.
Navistar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the LPDM relay free of charge. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
