Plain-English summary
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling certain 2012-2017 Audi A4, A5, A6, and Q5 vehicles equipped with 2.0l Turbo FSI engines. The recall covers 342,867 vehicles, including 2013-2016 Audi A4 and Allroad, 2013-2017 Audi A5 and A5 Cabriolet, 2012-2015 Audi A6, and 2013-2017 Audi Q5 models.

Audi will notify owners, and dealers will update the software to deactivate the power supply to the coolant pump if it becomes blocked. This repair is free of charge. The recall was expected to begin on February 20, 2017. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
