Plain-English summary
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain model year 2015 Tacoma pickup trucks manufactured between August 7, 2014, and December 22, 2014. The recall addresses vehicles that may have been equipped with TRD PRO accessory tires and wheels, which can cause the inflation information on the tire placard to be incorrect. This results in the tires being improperly inflated, causing the vehicles to fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110.
Improperly inflated tires may increase the risk of a vehicle crash. The recall began on March 13, 2015. Toyota will notify owners, and dealers will send a revised tire placard with the correct tire size and inflation information to owners free of charge.
