Daimler Trucks Recalls 2015 Models Due to Brake Drag Risk

The affected vehicles were manufactured between September 17, 2014, and November 10, 2014, and are equipped with Haldex Life Seal brake chambers. A total of 1,580 vehicles are affected by this recall.

The recall is being issued because the affected vehicles may experience brake drag due to an improperly seated diaphragm in the brake chamber. While traveling at highway speeds, this brake drag may cause a loss of vehicle control, which increases the risk of a crash.

DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the diaphragm if necessary, free of charge. Owners were sent an interim notice on January 27, 2015, and the recall began on September 25, 2015. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-745-8000.
