Daimler Trucks Recalls 2015 Freightliner and Western Star Trucks for Brake Defect

The recall is due to an improperly seated diaphragm in the brake chamber, which may cause brake drag. While traveling at highway speeds, this brake drag may cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

DTNA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake chambers free of charge. Owners were mailed interim notices at the end of May 2015, and the recall began on September 25, 2015.
