These vehicles are equipped with John Deere 8.1 liter turbocharged, compressed natural gas engines, model number 6081HFN04, manufactured from June 2002 through January 2008. The recall affects 163 vehicles.

The recall is issued because failures can occur within the engine turbocharger. Specifically, the turbine or compressor wheel may fail, resulting in damage to the engine and/or an oil leak. This failure may result in smoke, fire, or stalling, which could possibly lead to a vehicle crash.
