Motor Coach Industries, Inc. is recalling certain model year 2011 MCI J4500 motor coaches manufactured between December 1, 2010, and February 28, 2011. The recall applies to vehicles equipped with ArvinMeritor MC16 and MC16 Type Tag Axle Assemblies.

The bolts used to connect the axle housing to the spindle of the axle may not have been properly heat treated. This defect can result in compromised hardness and strength, leading to reduced joint integrity. Reduced joint strength of the spindle could result in a vehicle crash.
