Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain model year 2011 VNL trucks manufactured between March 23, 2010, and December 22, 2010. The recall involves 1,847 vehicles.

The defect involves an unintended path to ground in the electrical system. This can cause the vehicle to start without warning if the negative battery cable is disconnected at the battery or fusible link, or if the fusible link opens due to a short circuit.
