Volvo Trucks Recall 2009-2016 Models for Steering Component Failure Risk

The defect involves USK non-greasable drag links equipped with compromised seals, which may allow corrosion of the ball joints. If the ball joint fails, the socket may separate, resulting in a complete loss of steering and increasing the risk of a crash.

Volvo will notify owners, and dealers will replace the drag links free of charge. The recall began on April 21, 2016.
