Plain-English summary

Fleetwood RV, Inc. is recalling certain 2011 model year Terra Class A motor homes manufactured between June 6, 2010, and October 4, 2010. The recall involves 84 vehicles that fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 108 regarding lamps and associated equipment.

The high-beam and low-beam headlights on these vehicles are not in the correct positions as specified by the safety standard. This incorrect positioning could result in glare to oncoming drivers and/or reduced visibility of the motor home, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will remove the existing high-beam and low-beam headlights and replace them with different units to comply with FMVSS 108. This service will be performed free of charge. The safety recall was expected to begin during November 2010. Owners may contact Fleetwood at 800-509-3418 or the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
