The recall was issued because the plastic flower toy stem can break when bent, creating a sharp edge hazard that could cause cuts or puncture injuries to young children.

The toy, which features a gopher, a butterfly, and a flowered mirror, was sold at retail and specialty stores including Babies R Us, Ross Stores, TJ Maxx, and Value City from February 1998 through November 1998 for approximately $12. The company has received three reports of the flower stem breaking, but there have been no reported injuries.
