Plain-English summary

Toys R Us is voluntarily recalling approximately 12,000 Crib Pals Tiny Tinkers Rattle Copter helicopter baby rattles sold nationwide last year. The recall is due to a choking hazard for infants, as the rattle's tail section is long enough to reach the back of an infant's throat, and a small yellow cap at the top may come off.

The recalled product is a toy helicopter rattle standing three-and-a-half inches high, made of white, red, and blue hard plastic with clear plastic spheres containing spinning butterflies and ducks. The rattle was sold individually as "Crib Pals Tiny Tinkers Rattle Copter" (SKN331139) for $4 and as part of a three-piece "Crib Pals Tiny Tinkers" set (SKN331244) for $10. The other items in the three-piece set, a carry-along clock and a dial-and-spin rattle, do not pose choking hazards. The imprint "Royal Co. Ltd. Japan 198711" is located on the bottom of the rattle copter.

Consumers who purchased the rattle copter singly or as part of the three-piece set should take the product away from infants immediately. Consumers can return the product to the nearest Toys R Us store for a full refund or call Toys R Us toll-free at 1-800-548-0364 for more information.
