Baby Loungers Recalled for Suffocation, Entrapment, and Fall Hazards

Belivium Baby Loungers sold on Amazon violate infant sleep safety standards and pose risks of suffocation, entrapment, and falls. No injuries have been reported, but consumers should stop using them immediately.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: No injuries or illnesses have been reported. Per the rubric, risk-of-harm products without reported injury score at most 3 (High). The product violates mandatory infant sleep safety standards and poses theoretical risks of serious injury or death, but these hazards remain unrealized.

Plain-English summary

Belivium Baby Loungers, sold on Amazon from November 2024 through August 2025 for $25 to $50, have been recalled due to violations of mandatory safety standards for infant sleep products. About 280 units are affected.

The loungers are made of foam sleeping pads and padded bumpers with cloth covers. They have multiple safety defects: the sides are shorter than the minimum required height to secure an infant; the sleeping pad exceeds the maximum permitted thickness, posing a suffocation hazard; and the enclosed openings at the foot are wider than allowed, posing entrapment and fall hazards. The portable loungers also lack a stand, adding fall risk.

No injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the loungers immediately and contact Belivium for a full refund. The refund process requires removing the sleeping pad, cutting up the sides of the lounger and sleeping pad, and emailing a photo of the destroyed product to [email protected].
