Approximately 55,000 units were sold nationwide from July 2023 through February 2024 for about $22 each, through online retailers including autoworldstore.com, protinkertoys.com, and hobbylobby.com, as well as numerous hobby shops and toy stores.

The unassembled kits contain loose high-powered magnets that violate federal regulations. These magnets are not secured before assembly and pose an ingestion hazard to children. While assembled models do not have this risk and are not subject to recall, the loose magnets in the unassembled kits create a serious danger.

When high-powered magnets are swallowed, they can attract each other or another metal object and become lodged in the digestive system. This can result in perforations, twisting, and blockage of the intestines, as well as infection and blood poisoning. Although no illnesses or injuries have been reported to date, the potential consequences are serious.

Consumers should keep the recalled unassembled kits away from children. Round 2 is notifying all known purchasers and offering a prepaid return label for consumers to ship the recalled items back for a full refund.
