Plain-English summary
This recall involves Goody King-branded Magnetic Building Cubes, magnetic cubes sold in sets of 45, 56, 100, 120, 150 and 300. The cubes contain small, powerful magnets and are sold in themed sets. About 213,500 units are included. Model numbers are on the back of the product packaging.
The cubes can break or open, allowing the magnets to become loose. If swallowed, high-powered magnets can attract each other or other metal objects and lodge in the digestive system, potentially causing perforations, twisting, blockage, blood poisoning, and death. Yi Suen Commerce is aware of two children who ingested magnets and required surgery, and at least 27 reports of cubes breaking or opening.
The recalled cubes were sold online at Amazon.com from January 2024 through July 2026 for between $17 and $50. Consumers should stop using them immediately and contact Yi Suen Commerce for a full refund; the company will provide a pre-paid label to return the cubes.
